We met Mark and Helen at the Ogwen Valley in Snowdonia and took a walk up to Llyn Idwal. It is a beautiful spot and a short walk to the lake. Luckily for me as I had heavy camera bags!

Helen had already mentioned she was bringing tea and snacks. You know you’re instantly going to get on when they mention a cuppa! Mark and Helen are both gorgeous and love walking and being outdoors.

A little nervous, both said they didn’t like having their photo taken! Nearly everyone says that and sure enough later on into the engagement shoot Mark admitted ‘I didn’t expect to but I’m really enjoying it!’

We started the photo shoot off with some basic posing tips and then went straight into it. They were naturals as I expected.

We carried on up to the lake and the views were just amazing. It was nice and quiet up there which was lovely and apparently quite unusual on a clear day.

Here comes the engagement story!
Mark proposed to Helen in March last year. The plan, to be engaged at the top of Snowdonia.

They had Helen's father’s dog with them for the journey. The mountain covered in snow and ice was not to the dogs liking! Likewise, Helen was protesting when they were three quarters of the way up! Helen couldn’t understand why Mark was insisting they went to the top.

Pressing on the cold and the ice was too much. Mark had to settle for a spot as close to the top as they could manage. After the excitement they decided to go for a just engaged selfie! The picture showing two happy faces and one unhappy frozen dog!
