Emma & Aled’s wedding Day
Emma and Aled’s Carden Park wedding in the Shooting Lodge was at the end of July. The shooting lodge being one of Carden Parks hidden gems. Hidden in the back of the hotel it feels a world away from the hotel moreover, it is exclusively yours for your wedding day.
Emma got ready in one of Cardens fantastic wedding suites, with her bridesmaids. The colour scheme was a beautiful summery pale yellow, which looked great against the guys in grey suits.
The wedding ceremony was in the Shooting Lodge with these huge LOVE letters, which always look great!
You can’t go wrong with an ice cream cart! And Carden’s canapes were fabulous, as always.
We spent so long waiting for the crunch moment with the Giant Jenga (pic above). I can’t say the guys were cheating, but perhaps the rules have changed since I last played. Ha
The gardens in front of the hotel are fabulous for couple portraits. Of course we like to mix it up, with a few under the trees too and making the most of the vineyard.
Lemon colour was a perfect summer choice
I really liked the clean pallet of pale yellow on white. The colour makes for a wonderful summery feel to the wedding. The stationery and jam jars with yellow flowers and matching place settings and menu’s all go together beautifully.
The singing waiters worked their magic, completely surprising everybody who genuinely did not know it was a setup. After the singing waiters’ very public bust up, everyone began to realise what was going on. Once this clicked, the whole place erupted and crazy dancing ensued!
First dance! A prelude to half the party piling on to the dance floor.
If we can get outside for a few photographs in the evening light, we always will. Firstly, the light is always nicer in the evening. Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, you guys are probably more relaxed making for a more canid set of imagery. We also wanted to take advantage of the lovely long grass and vineyards behind the Shooting Lodge which are ideal.
