Why I love photographing at the Abbey
Combermere Abbey is one of the most unique wedding venues in Cheshire and one I love to photograph in. Some of the most incredible features are the walled gardens with their Edwardian glasshouse. Everywhere you look there are stunning features and you are spoilt for choice for photographs. I just love history and how that enhances imagery.
I particularly like being lucky to see the fruit out on the fruit tree maze. The colour looks spectacular. There is also the waterside if you wanted to venture a bit further and the abbey itself with its restorations makes it a spectacular backdrop. The pavilion is having an update which will make the reception area more incredible for you and your guests to enjoy.
Why Combermere Abbey is one I adore
Cheshire is incredible with some of the most unique and luxurious wedding venues in the country. The Abbey is just a warren of incredible buildings, history and beauty. I always adore wedding ceremony spaces that have lots of light and the glasshouse has this in spades. It retains a cosy atmosphere while still being able to seat up to 120 guests for the ceremony.
The venue is for exclusive use which means I do not have to worry about photographing the wrong person who doesn't belong to your wedding! There is lots of scope with the croquet lawn and rose garden. I love the cottages that form part of the staples and they are a beautiful backdrop for getting ready photographs.
