Isobel and Bryan’s Gladstone wedding

Thank you so much for all your hardwork at our wedding. I know we weren’t the easiest bride and groom as we don’t actually like getting photographed. You perservered and made it fun – thank you.

Gladstone Village Hall Wedding Photographer

What a sweet venue Gladstone Village Hall is and perfect for a relaxed style wedding. I adored photographing at Gladstone and it has an awesome set-up for weddings. You have a bar area and a lovely large space for your reception. You also have a cloakroom and excellent kitchen facilities for your caterers and a stage for your band or DJ.

Outside of Gladstone Hall, you have a large lawned area that is used for cricket and that has a backdrop of beautiful sky and trees. There is plenty of parking for guests and a children’s play area. We didn’t use it on this occasion but there is also the opportunity to use Briarfirld Gardens at a charge of £50.

Church of St Nicholas Wedding Ceremony

The wedding ceremony was held in the 18th-century church of St Nicholas which is across the rd from the village hall. Guests could therefore park at the Gladstone hall and walk across to the church. The church is beautiful with exposed brick and gorgeous arched windows filled with stained glass. It was a joy to photograph in. As ever with churches please check what restrictions they put on professional photographers and this will change depending on who is taking the service. On this occasion, I was restricted to a side view and not allowed to move. This is perfectly fine as long as you as a couple are happy with this.

Photographs to make you feel at the hall

I want you as a couple to be relaxed as possible so I approach my photographs at Gladstone Village Hall in a candid style. This means that I will ask you guys to interact with each other and ignore the camera as much as possible. The only time we do pose is what I call the mantlepiece pose and any formal photographs with family and friends you have requested but having said that I still like to do these in a fun relaxed style. I capture your day at Gladstone Village Hall as it happens, telling your story at the village hall.

What I love about Gladstone Village Hall

Firstly the Cheshire venue is so customisable. You are getting a blank canvas for your wedding photography which I love. You can have a small or larger sized wedding as the venue can hold 90 for a sit down in the daytime and 120 for the evening party. The Burton woods provide a stunning backdrop for your wedding photographs and I love open spaces for photography. If you have a wedding with a lot of children it is an excellent space for them to run around.
