Wedding Ceremony venue North Wales

Bodryddan Hall in North Wales is an incredible location for a wedding, for instance, its beautiful formal gardens for wedding photographs. It is a grand 17th-century home moreover it has gardens I could walk around all day; they are simply stunning!

The bride arrived at the wedding in a VW Camper. She walked down to the outdoor ceremony. This walk has the most picturesque views for a bride I think we’ve ever had. Likewise, the wedding area in the gardens by the lake is just incredible. Moreover, despite the size, such a cosy and spectacular location. The sun was beaming down, and you certainly knew summer had arrived, with a large variety of flowers in bloom. After the ceremony, we returned to the farm for the marquee celebration.

Brides wedding hair

I loved the natural up do the bride choose for her wedding day, which was swept to the side. It was perfect for the time of year. With it being such a warm day to be off the neck was a great idea. It looked fantastic with her wedding dress style.

Men's wedding suits

We have loved blue suits for such a long time. I think they are a great timeless wedding colour, which photographs so well. They are right up there with black and grey as an all-time classic.

The simple two-piece wedding suit looked fantastic with a white shirt and plain blue tie. Similarly, the button holes looked insane with a simple choice of 2 small flowers and foliage. Classic and timeless, and the white pocket square always helps to lift a simple suit up to wedding level. Adding to the look was the classic brown shoe. They also bought colourful retro sunglasses which looked great together with the suits.

Brides wedding bouquet

The bride's wedding flowers comprised just one flower called Gypsophila, which is usually used as a decoration in a bride's wedding bouquet but looked exquisite as the only flower in the bouquet and made for such a graceful choice.

Wedding reception

They held the wedding reception at the family farm in Tremeirchion, which is a small residential community in Denbighshire, North Wales near Rhuallt.

The gorgeous wedding location was stunning to photograph in with stunning green fields in amongst a small tree area set the location for their marquee and camping area. They decorated the wedding marquee with beautiful little personal touches and a farm wedding feel to it.

Wedding Dress

The wedding dress was unusual in that it was halter neck which is one of my all-time favourite wedding dress neck lines but yet is so unusual. The dress was white and tight fitting with a lace bodice and a lovely long flow to the bottom which was finished with a lace trim edge.

Other wedding photography details

There were family dogs roaming freely round the wedding, which just enhanced the relaxed festival style vibe at the wedding. They finished the décor with hay bales and cute little vintage seating areas for guests to relax in.

There was also a camping area available for those who wanted to stay the night.

The whole wedding had a relaxed family feel to it, and it was so very magical. One of the coolest touches was the bride and groom's hay bales, wrapped and decorated to look like a bride and groom. It looked fantastic at the entrance to the wedding, ready to greet everyone.

Wedding Photography Techy bit

Often I will talk about the lighting for wedding photography and on a wedding day and with blinding sun and no clouds lighting is never more important. It might surprise you we use flash on a day like this, as even with your backs to the sun we may have to light your faces a touch to provide a better balance.

Also, when we take candid’s we use a tiny touch of flash, that you may not even notice. Using the flash is to lighten the faces particularly harsh shadows from the sun which occur usually under the eyes when it’s really bright.

Other North Wales weddings we have photographed

There are so many unreal North Wales wedding photography locations we have been to over the years, and some most stunning scenery exists in North Wales. One wedding we have photographed in, which has stunning views is Tyn Dwr Hall, wedding photography there is just whimsical as you have such stunning views of the Llangollen hills.

We really love marquee weddings and the personal touch you get from a wedding at someone's home, so if you would like us to help with a similar requirement, we are all ears! Get in touch through our Contact page and let us know how we can help. Marie x
