Wedding Photography at Iscoyd Park
Kirsty and Andrew booked us for their wedding photography through a friend's recommendation. Even though we exchanged several emails, the wedding day was the first day we actually met them. Marie started with Kirsty for bridal getting ready wedding shots. The bride was getting ready in the main house at Iscoyd Park in North Wales. Jason went to meet the guys who arrived and used the accommodation in the barn conversion.

We have shot several weddings there over the years. Another summer Iscoyd wedding being a beautiful summer day.

As the guests arrived at the wedding venue, we realised what an eclectic mix of friends they had. There were so many characters at this wedding, I'd do it again tomorrow in a heartbeat. After the prep and ceremony, everyone headed out to the gardens. We borrowed Kirsty and Andrew for 15 minutes for some photographs and after left them to relax with the guests. We used this time to mingle and shot candidly for half an hour.

Brides Wedding Hair
The bride had her friend do her wedding hair which was curled and then teased to the side and fished with a beaded headband. I think it was the perfect choice to compliment the wedding dress.

Wedding Dress
Kirsty’s strapless sweetheart neckline wedding dress looked spectacular on her and really suited her petite frame. The wedding bodice had subtle lace detailing with an embellished belt complete with flower button details which separated the A line flowing wedding skirt. The wedding dress was perfect for the time of year. Kirsty completed the look with cute wedding peep toe shoes in ivory with a front diamante bow detail.

Mens wedding suits
The men's wedding suits were wedding perfection. Perfect for a taller, slimmer frame and classic and timeless in style. I love tails as they are never going out of fashion and a plain waistcoat means that taking your jacket off in the evening still allows you to look smart and also changes up the look for a more casual style, which is great for the wedding photography. They coupled the suits with a classic black shoe and white rose buttonhole.

Wedding Flowers
The beautiful flowers were white roses. I absolutely love white weddings, and I think white is just a dominant colour to add to a wedding to not distract or overpower anything and certainly is perfect for photographing.

Wedding Ceremony
The wedding ceremony took place in the stunning ceremony room at Iscoyd park in North Wales. The wedding room is lovely and has perfect lighting for wedding photography, for instance, with its plain white walls bouncing perfect lighting around the room. It takes any type of decoration or can they be left just plain and still create a magnificent backdrop.

Wedding Reception
They decorated the wedding reception in a simplistic wildflower style, in the same vein, they used teacups and a vintage flavour. It looked sweet and inviting moreover it added to the homely feel of the venue. I think the guests felt really relaxed. Above all, it all created an amazing atmosphere.

The wedding venue in North Wales
Iscoyd Park in North Wales is one of our favourite wedding venues. You arrive to a gorgeous curving drive that takes you to the main house which is a three-storey redbrick country house in Wrexham, North Wales. At the back is the large venue room with Marquee area and beautiful lawned gardens, complete with a very popular croquet set. Then if you explore further, there are attractive tree areas and a dazzling lake with impressive views.

Iscoyd is a lovely wedding venue, and it is easy to see why as the staff and owners are extremely welcoming and the venue is a magnificent yet homely setting, with fabulous gardens giving a very different feel to a hotel venue. It's like coming to a friend’s house.

The wedding techy bit
For this wedding photography we kept the tech, low key shooting mainly without flash apart from during the formals to light the faces slightly. The weather was perfect for wedding photography, so we didn’t need too much lighting, and it’s always great to take advantage of good British weather to create a natural light look. Unfortunately, good well-behaved British weather is rare, hence the reason we have a lot of kit if needed!

Other North Wales Wedding Photography
We have photographed so many stunning North Wales weddings but one of our favourites which is totally different to this wedding but yet had the same lovely relaxed, homely vibe as a marquee wedding on a farm in North Wales with Rhianwen and Rhys.

Other weddings to see
For a North Wales and Iscoyd Park wedding photographer, get in touch using our Contact page. We have had so much fun over the years photographing weddings at Iscoyd. Cat and Mike's church wedding with a reception at Iscoyd was certainly one that stands out. Another summer spectacular is Laura & Matt's Iscoyd Wedding. For an alternative wedding view, we have a lovely hotel wedding with Conwy Castle views or for an alternative, see our Cheshire wedding held on a farm in a marquee.
