Met at a Christmas Party
This is the wedding story of Ben and Gareth. They met when a mutual friend suspected they might get along, so the friend engineered a Christmas Party and invited them both. They got chatting, and the rest is history! So cute.
Wedding Country House Vision
Gareth and Ben had a fab time exploring many venues over a few months. They live and work on the Isle of Man but held their special day in the UK as their guest list would have been enormous!
The couple found Iscoyd Park and fell in love with it instantly. They both had in mind that their day would be like relaxing, in a country house, excellent food and a big party! I can tell you that is exactly what they got.
Getting ready in separate rooms
The guys dressed in blue suits with yellow ties and plain blue waistcoats. Moreover, the look completed with brown shoes. Gareth and Ben got ready in separate rooms in Iscoyd Park. They met on the stairs to see each other for the first time in their wedding attire.
Two ceremonies back to back
Gareth and Ben had two ceremonies. One ceremony in a smaller room at Iscoyd Park was their legal ceremony and attended by close relatives. They then held a larger ceremony with religious Christian content in front of all their guests in Iscoyd Parks’ largest ceremony room. Previous couples who have also chosen the indoor main ceremony room for their wedding at Iscoyd Park are Kirsty and Andrew.
The Rainbow Socks
The rainbow socks were a pleasant touch. For instance, I loved the pop of colour and fun. Other touches were white flowers as decoration for the tables.
The holiday wedding proposal
Ben and Gareth were always going away during the same week in July to coincide with Ben’s Birthday and Gareth’s summer holidays. They had gone to Northumberland and had such a wonderful time exploring all the amazing Castles and Lindisfarne Island.
Ben always knew he was going to ask Gareth during the holiday and in the end, it happened spontaneously as they were walking along a beautiful river in the village of Rothbury before dinner. Ben asked Gareth if he’d like to sit down on a bench, and then he got down on one knee and proposed! I was told it was wonderful!
The Evening Entertainment
