The proposal was on Christmas Eve, subsequently, completely catching Sara off guard.
Some of our favourite weddings are DIY affairs, the creativity of couples always astounds us. They handmade so much of this wedding! It’s a seaside theme to tie in with their love of the sea, with Navy Blue & Blush Pink as the colour scheme. Their first dance to Ten Storey Love Song.
Sara walked down the aisle to Adam’s brother Dave playing an acoustic version of Tom Petty’s Free Falling. mOREOVER, the song was one her dad used to play to get her to sleep as a baby!
All the music choices
Firstly Adam’s little nephew Liam did a reading called ‘The One’ at the ceremony after that the Maid of Honour Jen did a reading. Lastly the Bridesmaids Tracy and Gemma read ‘Live Happily’–the favourite poem of our grandma Jay. Sara and Gemma read it at her funeral and Gemma read it at Tracy’s wedding.
Prior to Sara walking in music will be Connie Francis – My Happiness, the song of Adam’s late grandparents, Tess & John, and Patsy Cline–Always. Sara’s grandma Jay was a big fan and they go with the nostalgic & personalised feel of the day.
