Wedding Photographer Soughton Hall

Over the years, I have been lucky enough to photograph many weddings at Soughton Hall. Hannah and Kieran being my most recent wedding at Soughton Hall. The venue has one of the most spectacular entrances of any venue. I cannot imagine there are many people who do not say wow when they come down the treelined drive.

Getting ready at Soughton Hall

So I arrived with the girls to do morning wedding photography at Soughton Hall, which is gorgeous by the way, so if you have not seen the wedding venue check it out. When you arrive, you have the most amazing tree lined drive with a view of the wedding venue at the top.

You arrive at two fantastic stone lions guarding a gorgeous gated entrance. In addition, one feature I absolutely love on the wedding venue is the two large ‘Ws' at the top of the building. Inside, you have all original features for example stunning fireplaces, wood paneling and fantastic views. It is definitely one to put on your wedding venue list if you are still trying to choose one.

Northop Church Wedding Ceremony

On to the wedding, Rhiannon and Calum got married in the local Northop Church. We have done wedding photography here many times. The perks are, you have plenty of guest parking around the church which is often rare and also it's very near Soughton Hall, so you are not wasting a lot of your wedding day with travelling time. The church itself is both vast and intimate with it having a beautiful, almost secluded entrance which turns into a Tardis of a church inside.

The lights

On the dance floor, the lighting is the most obvious. For instance, we created that amazing flare using flashes hidden within the DJ equipment. However, less obvious is the use of fill flash on certain occasions, like group photographs. Above all, we find on sunny days, this really helps lift your wedding photographs to that extra level.

We don't just use lighting at this venue this is standard in all our wedding photography.
