What a year 2021!
Covid has had such an enormous impact on my business that I had not photographed a full day’s wedding in over a year. So, you can imagine my delight to finally be back to doing what I love. We are always delighted to be back at Tower Hill Barns and please check out our Tower Hill Barns wedding page for more information on our photography work there.
The Wedding Day
The wedding itself was incredible and held at the outstanding luxury venue Tower Hill Barns. Lowri & Rich had done the legal bit the day before and thus were free to have a creative wedding ceremony. They tied the knot literally with ribbons echoing the origins of marriage and where the tying of the knot saying comes from. The coloured ribbons, each signifying a different meaning, were wrapped around their wrists. It was a beautiful and personal ceremony and one I will cherish being a part of.
The bride’s mother had secretly booked a singing server. It was so funny when he pretended to fall over in front of the bride. Lowri looked very confused and asked him if he was ok. He replied in full song! Everyone loved it and enjoyed waving their napkins around! The couple has been together for two years. They are opposites that attracted. Lowrie is the more outgoing of the two, with Rich the funny and calming one. They make a perfect match, and both have dominant styles. They put on a stunning wedding filled with so much entertainment and love for their guests.
The atmosphere was out of this world. I do not know if it is because it has coped us up for so long with Covid or just because of the occasion, but it was going off! I loved it. I love weddings where people are relaxed and just have fun.
The Couple
Rich works at a gym that Lowrie and her mum attend. Lowrie’s mother had said to Rich “I’d love my daughter to date a guy like you!” 2 months later they met on a night out and the rest is history as they say!
The couple were most excited about marrying their best friend.
The Photography
The photography on the day was extremely easy. I had my new Canon R6, and that worked a dream. I still shot with a Mark iv and a Mark iii as these are amazing DSLR’s and created stunning colours in post. However, my new mirrorless camera with the eye-tracking and flip screen makes for a beautiful new combo and I think help to elevate my photography.
