Dawn and Gareth’s Llangollen wedding at The Chainbridge Hotel is the last of our high season weddings in 2015 and now we move in to winter season, things will be a little quieter on the blog. It was a great wedding to bring us in to Autumn and as usual, here is a sneak peek of some of their images from this weekend.

Dawn and Gareth’s story:

Gareth and Dawn were married in Llangollen in the Chainbridge hotel which lends itself to beautiful wedding photographs on the bridge and along the Llangollen canal and River Dee.

They met in 2011 after they both moved to London; they lived in the same building but separate flats.

Gareth proposed in Venice. He’d intended to propose on the balcony of the flat they were staying in but the rain scuppered those plans. It ended up being inside with the rain hammering on the roof with a glow in the dark alien ring and Dawn says ‘actually kinda perfect’ (so sweet). Dawn says typically it was glorious sunshine the rest of the weekend which they chose to spend wandering around Venice drinking wine and eating pasta, my kind of holiday!

Dawn says she knew she wanted to get married in Llangollen as its one of her favourite places. They had to plan the wedding around the World Cup to avoid (too many) arguments, mainly between Dawn (Welsh) and Gareth (English). I unfortunately waited in front of the English fans waiting for a reaction shot when England would score a try, sadly they did not. Dawn said they wanted a relaxed day where all of our family and friends could have a good time and they certainly got that – it was a fabulous day filled with lots of fun and laughter.
