How you met – A mutual friend suspected we might get along so engineered a Christmas Party and invited us both. We got chatting and the rest is history!

The proposal – We always go away during the same week in July to coincide with Ben’s Birthday and my summer holidays. We had gone to Northumberland and had such a wonderful time exploring all the amazing Castles and Lindisfarne Island. Ben always knew he was going ask me during this holiday and in the end, it happened very spontaneously as we were walking along a beautiful river in the village of Rothbury before dinner. He asked me if I’d like to sit down on one of the benches and then he got down on one knee and proposed!!! It was wonderful!

Wedding vision – We had a fab time exploring many venues over the following few months. We both live and work on the Isle of Man but decided to hold our special day in the UK as our guest list would have been enormous! We found Iscoyd Park and fell in love with it instantly. We both had in mind what our day would be like: relaxing, in a country house, good food and a big party!
