Hello, Sut Mae

I am excited to share my enthusiasm for Nant Gwrtheyrn with you.

My name is Marie Lloyd, and I am a wedding photographer with homes on the Chester border and Pwllheli, North Wales. I have had the pleasure of photographing at Nant Gwrtheyrn many times over the years, and you can find some of my latest images below.

Relaxed and Picturesque

Nant Gwrtheyrn offers a relaxed atmosphere, and I try to mimic that in my photography by mingling among the guests and capturing those precious candid moments.

PHOTOGRAPHY AT NANT GWRTHEYRN

Inside the Nant, you have some incredible history from its Victorian days as a village for quarrying. The venue offers an on-site chapel named Capel Seilo, and the hall gives views of the bay and Wicklow mountains.

The wedding venue is also a Welsh learning language centre and thus offers extensive accommodation and various attractions such as Tre’r Ceiri Hillfort and Tu Hwnt, a sculpture aimed at creating a relationship between individuals and the landscape; it has room for one person to stand inside.

How to find Nant Gwrtheyrn

Nant Gwrtheyrn can be found near the village of Llithfaen on the north coast of the Llŷn Peninsula, Gwynedd, in North West Wales

Nant Gwrtheyrn is well signposted. Turn off the A499 at Llanaelhaearn towards Nefyn B4417. When you arrive at Llithfaen village, turn right at the crossroads opposite the shop and Post Office. Follow this road; I will warn you, it is a little scary, and the descent into the village made me physically shake when I got out of the car! However, the views are worth it, and you will quickly relax. Just take your time.

If you use Google Maps as your Sat Nav, you can use the Google Plus code to find it: XGGR+5J Pwllheli. To use it, copy and paste the plus code into Google Maps. It is also an easy way of sharing the location with your guests. Those who rely on the postcode can use LL53 6NL.

If driving in from Portmadog at Llanaelhaearn, turn left towards Nefyn B4417 until you reach Llithfaen turn at the crossroads opposite the shop and Post Office, it will be signposted.

Other Wedding Venues

I found Nant Gwrtheryn a unique wedding venue and very hard to categorise. I put it in Village Halls as it is essentially a hall for your wedding reception, but that does not describe the venue very well. The incredible views, the private beach, the forest, the church, and the stone accommodations make this venue a village! However I had to categorise it o find below some other village halls that are probably not very similar but will atleast give you some ideas as they are likely to be unique wedding venues in the, mselves!
