How I photograph

Creating images with feeling, all while focusing on moments that will mean so much to you.

I like to create images with feeling, focusing on moments that will mean so much to you. I want to be there when you share laughter with your friends or get a hug from a close family member. I will capture you and your guests at Talhenbont Hall in a natural, fun way. I look for the raw emotion, the belly laughs, the tears, and everything in between.

Wedding Photography changing the game

I photograph both formally and naturally, depending on how much of each you want. I concentrate on the natural, but you can ask for as much formality as you like or none at all.

For me, Talhenbont’s magic is in its two ceremony areas. Indoors, you have the beautifully light ceremony space in the Coach House, and outdoors, you have my favourite country-theatre-style wedding ceremony area with a wooden pergola and incredible views of ancient woodland.

I am lucky to have parents living in Penrhos, Pwllheli, just down the road from Talhenbont, so I know the place’s beauty and have a bed for the night when at Talhenbont.

I approach weddings at Talhenbont to capture the beauty of as much of the venue as possible. I usually start with the ancient woodland setting and the main house during the daytime and take in the more quirky settings near the Mandarin summer house in the evening. I will photograph you naturally, even when we go off for some portraits. I like couples to interact, ignore the camera, and just photograph the moment candidly.
