Pre-Wedding Shoots

What is a Pre-Wedding Shoot?

As the name suggests, a pre-wedding shoot happens before your wedding. The shoot itself normally lasts around an hour. I have a favourite spot I love called Waun-Y-Llyn Country Park.

What are the benefits of a pre-wedding shoot

  • If you are nervous about the camera, this will help ease your nerves before your wedding day.
  • You will have some professional photographs of yourselves not in your wedding attire
  • You will learn to pose for the camera
  • You get a chance to see how you pose together before your day so you can see what you think works well and what works less well for you both.

FAQ

Here are the most frequently asked questions

Yes, you can. It will change the dynamics of the shoot, so if you still want mostly couple photos, bring a helper who can babysit or dog-sit while you have some undistracted photos.

I shoot pre-wedding shoots on weekdays an hour before sunset (if the skies are very dark and grey, it is nice to have the option to bring this time forward). So you are looking at a weekday evening shoot. However, this can be moved if it is more convenient for you to have it earlier in the day. The shoot itself is usually 45 minutes to an hour.

Usually, we cancel the shoot and look to book a new date if bad weather looks likely; however, if you are happy to shoot in the rain, then I am up for it! I suggest having a few dates free in case of bad weather and you would prefer a dry photoshoot.
