Film wedding photography
What is 35mm analogue film
Think of an old film camera with photos developed in a darkroom. The camera uses a 35mm film roll that you put in the camera and wind on to the next photo. There are usually 35 photos on one roll of film, and you get one take! I use a professional film camera, my old Canon EOS 3, which is an incredible, well-sought-after camera. In that camera, I have decided to use Kodak colour film, and it is stunning.
How you receive your 25mm film wedding photos
You can add as many rolls of film as you like to your wedding photography package, and you typically get between 25 & 35 images per roll. Each roll is sent to a professional lab for developing and scanning, and you will receive high-res JPEGs via your online gallery. You will also be sent your film strip as a beautiful wedding memento.
Why choose film wedding photography?
Couples are craving originality, old school imperfections, and imperfect beauty. Film photography is truthful to you and the scene. There is no digital editing, no processing, so all that grain, highlight, and nostalgic look are all in the photo. What’s created is a piece of art, and if you love that arty vibe, then you will love having a roll of film on your wedding day.
Digital photography, film roll and BTS video in one package
I offer behind-the-scenes mobile video coverage, filmed using a phone camera in vertical format, made for your social media. These short clips are perfect for showing the BTS vibe of your wedding day. Add this to the roll of film and your main wedding photography package for all-around coverage for your wedding day.
Wedding 35mm film pricing
One roll of film costs £100. Since I use an old camera, there is no backup, so if anything goes wrong, I will refund the money. This service cannot be guaranteed. This is a true vintage service for your wedding day.

Learn more about me
I started out taking evening photography classes in 2007 and then took private lessons with a wedding photographer to move into the wedding world. I photographed my first wedding as a second photographer in Plas Isaf, Corwen, North Wales. I was hooked from that day. There is nothing like driving to work knowing everyone will be excited, in a great mood, and ready for a wonderful day ahead.
From then on, I built a website and called myself Marie Lloyd Photography, not imaginative, I know, but I have good SEO with that name now, so I can’t change it to anything cooler! I photographed 16 weddings in my first year, and I have tried to work out how many weddings I have photographed since, and it must be 400 plus now. From that experience, I feel that there is no wedding scenario that you can throw at me that I cannot handle.
I love moving with the times and keeping up with trends. I take a new course every year and also strive to keep learning and growing my photography skills.
