With over 17 years of experience, Marie specialises in relaxed, natural wedding photography for couples who want genuine moments rather than endless posing.
Known for helping even the most camera-shy couples feel comfortable, Marie takes an observational, storytelling approach to wedding photography, capturing real emotion, authentic connection and all the meaningful moments that make each wedding unique. Alongside digital wedding photography, Marie also offers 35mm film wedding photography as an optional add-on for couples who love the nostalgic look and character of analogue film. She photographs weddings at country houses, manor houses, luxury wedding venues, barns, castles and outdoor wedding venues throughout Cheshire, North Wales and the North West.
My photography style
I love colour, and so all my images are supplied in colour, but I also adore black and white, so you will get all your images in both colour and black and white. I have now dug out my old film camera, so you can add a roll of 35mm film to your wedding photographs to bring that arty, vintage vibe to your wedding day. Perfect for those who crave authentic, unfiltered, and un-doctored photos from the old days. My style is romantic, fun and natural, and I aim to bring in the latest trends and fashions in the most relaxed way I can, focusing on telling the story of your wedding day. I shoot in a calm, documentary style with a touch of editorial, focusing on real moments and genuine connection. Wherever I am in Cheshire, my goal is to always create warm, effortless and full of personality photographs.
Short Coverage Cheshire Wedding Photography
I have photographed lots of weddings and elopements that require shorter coverage, particularly at The Chester Town Hall, followed by larger weddings or at local pubs and restaurants in Cheshire. Short coverage starts at up to 2 hours and can be extended by 4 extra hours. For more information, please get in touch, but note that it is not available for weekend celebrations more than 6 months in advance.

My experience at Cheshire Wedding Venues
I have been photographing since 2009 and so have photographed at the majority, if not all, of Cheshire wedding venues. Including barn wedding venues such as Abbeywood, Alcumlow wedding barn, Owen House & Sandhole. I adore Cheshire’s country houses, and some recent ones I have photographed include Capesthorne Hall, Parkes Estate and Arley Hall. My years of experience at these incredible Cheshire venues mean I am relaxed in both new and older venues and have forged many relationships with suppliers over the years.

I started out taking evening photography classes in 2008 and then took private lessons with a wedding photographer to move into the wedding world. I photographed my first wedding in 2009 on my own, and I was hooked from that day. There is nothing like driving to work knowing everyone will be excited, in a great mood, and ready for a wonderful day ahead.
From then on, I built a website and called myself Marie Lloyd Photography, not imaginative, I know, but I have good SEO with that name now, so I can’t change it to anything cooler! I photographed 16 weddings in my first year, and I have tried to work out how many weddings I have photographed since, and it must be 400 plus now. From that experience, I feel that there is no wedding scenario that you can throw at me that I cannot handle.
I love moving with the times and keeping up with trends. I take a new course every year and also strive to keep learning and growing my photography skills.
